Barot Valley is a serene, emerald-green valley in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, formed by the Uhl River. Initially developed for the Shanan Hydel Project in the 1920s, it is now an offbeat tourism hotspot famous for trout fish breeding, pristine pine forests, and scenic trekking trails.
It is an ideal mountain destination for angling (trout fishing), riverside camping, and trekking in the undisturbed wilderness of the Dhauladhar range.
