Gir Forest National Park is a 1,412 square kilometer sanctuary in Gujarat, India, and the last natural habitat of the critically endangered Asiatic lion. This deciduous forest landscape is home to around 650 lions, making it the world's only place where these majestic cats roam free outside Africa.
