About Kaas Plateau

Kaas Plateau, also known as the Kaas Pathar, is a volcanic laterite plateau in Satara district of Maharashtra, part of the Western Ghats Sahyadri range. Celebrated as Maharashtra's Valley of Flowers, it is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site famous for its seasonal carpets of colorful wild flowers that bloom during the late monsoon months.
