Valparai is a pristine hill station situated at an altitude of 1,067 meters in the Anaimalai Hills of the Western Ghats, in Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu. Completely surrounded by sprawling private tea and coffee estates, lush rainforests, and water reservoirs, it remains largely offbeat and is a critical wildlife habitat hosting Nilgiri Tahrs and Lion-tailed Macaques.
